Lenovo™ has launched ThinkShield Solutions, a new suite of enterprise-grade cybersecurity offerings designed specifically for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), schools, and other organizations with limited IT resources. The release marks a significant expansion of Lenovo’s ThinkShield portfolio, targeting sectors increasingly victimized by cyberattacks.
According to industry data cited by Lenovo, SMBs suffer the majority of reported cyberattacks, with each incident costing nearly USD255,000 on average. Educational institutions are similarly vulnerable, with ransomware attacks from 2018 to 2023 alone costing over USD53 billion in global downtime.
“Even though SMBs and schools are frequently attacked, many suffer under the misperception they are either too small to be a target or their resources are too limited,” said Nima Baiati, executive director and general manager of Commercial Cybersecurity Solutions at Lenovo.
The ThinkShield Solutions suite includes:
- ThinkShield XDR, powered by SentinelOne: AI-driven threat detection and response across email, networks, cloud, and endpoints.
- ThinkShield Data Defense Select, powered by Cigent: Embedded encryption and multi-factor authentication to protect data throughout its lifecycle.
- ThinkShield Hardware Defense, powered by Sepio: Hardware asset visibility and vulnerability management across networks and peripherals.
Lenovo’s new multi-layered, AI-powered approach is designed to help lean IT teams reduce attack surfaces, improve response times, and prevent costly breaches.
Strategically, the launch signals Lenovo’s growing investment in security-as-a-service, expanding its reach into markets traditionally underserved by enterprise cybersecurity vendors. The solutions are available now in select global markets through Lenovo’s sales channels and authorized partners.
