Globe has ramped up its disaster response efforts by deploying Libreng Tawag at Libreng Charging (LTLC) stations across Metro Manila and key provinces in Luzon, providing crucial free connectivity services to communities affected by recent flooding.
As of 25 July, Globe has activated nine LTLC sites in flood-stricken areas, including:
- Quezon City (Bagong Silangan, Tatalon, Holy Spirit, Fairview)
- Taytay, Rizal (Bagong Pag-asa Elementary School)
- Cavite (Tanza and Imus areas)
- Valenzuela City (Marulas and Gen. T. De Leon)
These stations offer free calls and mobile device charging from 8:00 or 9:00 AM to 4:00 or 5:00 PM, depending on the location.
Yoly Crisanto, Globe’s chief sustainability and corporate communications officer, said the initiative is focused on keeping people connected and enabling coordination with local government units (LGUs).
“Globe’s response remains focused on restoring connectivity, offering lifelines where needed, and working with local government partners to deliver timely aid,” she said.
The services support both individual evacuees and public agencies, helping ensure continuity of communication during emergency response efforts.
In partnership with Rise Against Hunger (RAH), Globe also distributed relief goods to 359 families in:
- Quezon City – 100 families
- Pasig City – 59 families
- Pasay City – 100 families
- Taytay, Rizal – 100 families
These efforts follow earlier distributions to 300 families in Cebu. More relief is scheduled for deployment in Southern Luzon in the coming days.
Globe reported its network remains largely operational across Luzon, with restoration efforts underway in coordination with power utilities and emergency responders. Customers in severely affected areas also continue to receive free calls, texts, and mobile data as part of the company’s emergency assistance program.
