Time Ceramics plans ₱292M Batangas plant expansion

Time Ceramics Philippines Inc. is seeking regulatory approval for the planned expansion of its ceramic tile manufacturing facility in San Pascual, Batangas costing ₱292-million.

The expansion, which would increase the facility’s production capacity from 49,000 to 450,000 metric tons annually, will be discussed in detail with stakeholders to gather feedback, address concerns, and ensure transparency in compliance with environmental regulations.

Time Ceramics said the project responds to surging demand from residential, commercial, and industrial construction sectors. The company emphasized the use of locally sourced raw materials—clay, feldspar, and silica—to manufacture cost-effective and sustainable ceramic products, contributing to economic growth through job creation, increased local business activity, and enhanced tax revenues for San Pascual and neighboring municipalities.

The company also stressed its commitment to environmental stewardship, outlining plans to deploy advanced pollution control systems, safer chemical alternatives, and waste recycling processes. It assured the public that the project would minimize environmental impact through the use of low-toxicity glazes, optimized energy-efficient kilns, and continuous emissions monitoring.

The expansion will utilize the existing facility, as previously approved under its environmental compliance certificate, without constructing new buildings or product lines.

Time Ceramics’ pursuit of public support underscores the corporate and commercial significance of the project, positioned to boost local industry while aligning with national sustainability goals.
