AirAsia adds more flights for Undas rush

AirAsia Philippines has ramped up flight frequencies on key domestic routes this October in preparation for the anticipated travel surge during the All Saints’ Day long weekend.

From Manila, weekly flights have increased on several routes: Caticlan (from 46 to 54), Cebu (47 to 56), Iloilo (28 to 32), Tacloban (24 to 26), Tagbilaran (21 to 24), Puerto Princesa (20 to 21), Kalibo (17 to 19), and Cagayan de Oro (14 to 16).

“With one of the country’s busiest travel periods approaching, AirAsia is ready to serve Filipinos traveling to honor their departed loved ones or spend time with family,” said Capt. Suresh Bangah, AirAsia Philippines CEO. He added that the increased frequencies aim to provide more seats and flight options for a smoother travel experience.

Last year, the airline reported an 83 percent load factor during the Undas season and anticipates even higher demand this year.

AirAsia, a leading low-cost carrier in ASEAN with operations in five countries, has served over 800 million passengers across 130 plus destinations. It currently operates more than 200 aircraft and aims to become the world’s first global low-cost network carrier, with a strong focus on sustainability and a net zero target by 2050.
