The MediaQuest Holdings Inc. on Wednesday signed an agreement with Tito and Vic Sotto , Joey de Leon and other hosts of the original “Eat Bulaga” to produce content for TV5 and other platforms.
“I’m honored that these pillars of the Philippine entertainment industry have agreed to work with us. Our partnership strengthens our ability to continue to deliver the best for Filipino viewers here at home and all over the world,” Jane Basas, MediaQuest president and chief executive said in a statement.
“I’m happy that Tito, Vic and Joey will now call TV5 their home,” she added.
The announcement came after TVJ and fellow hosts of the original “Eat Bulaga” resigned from production company TAPE Inc.
Former Senator Sotto, meanwhile, said ” We are thankful to our friends at Mediaquest for this fresh start. Dahil sa ating mga Darbarkads na maging Kapatid, tuloy parin ang tuwa’t saya na aming dala.”
MediaQuest owns and operates national media firm TV5 and Nation Broadcasting Corp. as well as pay TV provider and regional radio network Cignal TV. It also owns majority interest on newspaper companies The Philippine Star and Business World Publishing Corp.
