Globe Telecom Inc. has expanded its 5G coverage around the world, with its roaming service now available in a total of 67 countries and territories.
Globe’s 5G footprint now includes Austria, (T-Mobile), Malaysia (Digi), Macau (CTM), US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico (AT&T), Vatican City (Windtre), Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales (EE), Russia (Megafon), and Northern Marianas (Docomo Pacific).
The company has also partnered with more international telecom providers, including Hi3G in Denmark, SFR in France, Windtre in Italy, T-Mobile in the Netherlands, Slovak Telekom in Slovakia, Salt in Switzerland, and MEO in Portugal.
Offering speeds faster than 4G, 5G technology is fastest in mobile connectivity and download speeds.
Globe pioneered 5G technology in the country and the first operator in Southeast Asia to commercially launch 5G AirFiber for home use in 2019.
Travelers and foreign subscribers from Sri Lanka, Romania, Egypt, Isle of Man, and Mexico may also enjoy Globe’s 5G roaming services when they visit the Philippines.

Globe has deployed 66 new 5G sites in 74 cities and towns across the country, expanding its 5G outdoor coverage to 97.21 percent of the National Capital Region and 90.28 percent in key cities in the Visayas and Mindanao in the first quarter this year.
Globe also logged 4.3 million devices in its 5G network as of March 2023.
