The Philippines recently played host to a Russian delegation of companies looking to trade with counterparts in agriculture products and services, the Department of Agriculture said.
The delegation came from a diverse sector that included poultry, dairy, pork, wheat, grain and tea who already benefit from importing desiccated coconut, carrageenan, banana chips, coconut milk and Cavendish banana.
DA undersecretary Agnex Catherine Miranda said agriculture exports to Russia grew 26 percent over a four-year span ending in 2021. Filipinos look to Russia for opportunities in cold storage and processing equipment.
Russia’s Ministry of Agriculture organized the event, the DA said.
