Bank of Commerce, the listed banking affiliate of San Miguel Corp., said Wednesday it will install a total 300 automated teller machines and cash recycling machines in various branches and selected off-site locations to enhance clients’ banking experience.
The installation of new ATMs and CRMs is part of the bank’s five-year information technology investment and digitalization program. Bank of Commerce last year set aside P1 billion for the technology upgrade and deployment of new ATMs and CRMs.
CRMs, unlike ATMs, are capable of dispensing cash deposited by clients, reducing the need to replenish the machine with fresh bills that could improve efficiency and increase branch profit.
NCR Corp., the world’s leading enterprise provider of software, hardware and services for banks and other industries, supplied the new ATMs that feature enhanced security measures to protect customer transactions and personal information.
The bank has a network of 140 branches and 263 automated teller machines as of June 30, strategically located nationwide.
“The deployment of these new ATMs in key branches across Metro Manila and soon in various parts of the country reaffirms our commitment to providing convenient and secure banking solutions. We continuously strive to exceed our customers’ expectations and enhance their overall banking experience,” said Michelangelo Aguilar, president and chief executive officer of Bank of Commerce.
