Lucky Me! instant noodle producer Monde Nissin Corp. said Friday its board elected Anabelle Chua, the former chief financial officer of PLDT Inc., as independent director of the listed food company.
Chua, who until April this year was also a director of the Philippine Stock Exchange, was elected to replace Romeo Bernardo, who has resigned from Monde Nissin’s board after his appointment to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ policymaking Monetary Board. She will serve the remainder of Bernardo’s unexpired term.
Monde Nissin’s board also appointed Chua as chairperson of its Audit Committee, and as a member of the Board’s Risk and Related Party Transactions Committee, and Corporate Governance, Nominations, and Remuneration Committee.
The board also appointed independent director Nina Perpetua Aguas as lead independent director, member of the Board’s Executive Committee, and chairperson of the Risk and Related Party Transactions Committee.
The company said its board also approved the change in designation of Daniel Teichert to chief risk management officer from chief risk officer.
