Olympic skateboarder Didal fails to defend Asian Games gold

Olympian skateboarder Margielyn Didal failed on Wednesday to defend her Asain Games gold medal, with an apparent injury to her ankle that sent her crashing to eighth and last spot of the event.

Didal struggled to do her tricks and fell during her run, hurting herself.

She did not complete her second run, opting to prematurely end it after failing to do her trick.

Her scores were 23.39 in the first run and 12.83 in the second.
