Vivant Corp. said Thursday one of its indirect renewable energy retail subsidiaries has signed a 20-year deal to buy electricity from Samal Solar Renewable Energy Corp., a company building a solar farm with a total capacity of 52 megaWatts-direct current.
Financial details of the deal, including the cost of electricity and the project cost, were not immediately disclosed.
COREnergy Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Vivant Energy Corp., a wholly-owned unit of listed Vivant, signed a deal with Samal Solar to construct the plant and supply the contracted electricity subject to the successful financial close to secure debt financing for the project.
The solar farm, located in Samal town in Bataan province, is scheduled for completion within the second quarter of 2025.
