The Bureau of the Treasury (BTr) raised the full offer amount of P30 billion at the sale Wednesday of three-year Treasury bonds amid strong demand after several weeks of cancelled auctions.
The yield on the T-bonds due January 2027 was set at 6.000 percent, in line with the prevailing rate of 5.921 percent for similar maturity in the secondary debt market.
Total tenders reached P53.3 billion, nearly 1.8 times the offered amount.
Wednesday’s bond auction is the first of four scheduled this month by the BTr to raise a total P120 billion for budget support in January.
