The price of gasoline and diesel products at the pumps has increased for the fourth time in a series this week.
Seaoil and Caltex have increased the price of their gasoline by P2.80 per liter, by P1.30 per liter of diesel and by P0.45 per liter for kerosene.
Jetti and Clean Fuel similarly adjusted the per liter price of their gasoline and diesel.
The adjustments were traced mainly to the combined impact of crude supply issues in the Middle East, economic growth in the US and to projected higher fuel demand in China.
Data from the Department of Energy (DOE) show the price per liter of gasoline (RON95) in Manila of P66.55, diesel at P61.15 and kerosene at P73.03.
DOE data also show year-to-date adjustment as a net increase of P1.60 per liter for gasoline and P1.60 per liter for diesel. Kerosene is at a net decrease of P0.40 per liter.
Reuters reported Friday last week of Brent crude futures rising 1.4 percent to $83.55 per barrel while US West Texas Intermediate crude increased 0.8 percent to $78.01 a barrel.
