The Bureau of the Treasury awarded in full the P30 billion of 10-year treasury bonds it offered amid strong demand at Tuesday’s auction.
The bonds originally issued in January at a coupon of 6.25 percent attracted total tenders of P71.24 billion, more than twice the offered amount.
Average interest rate on the bonds settled at 6.825 percent.
In the secondary debt market, bonds with 10-year maturity were quoted at 6.906 percent on Tuesday, lower by 8.3 basis points.
