Figaro unit Angel’s Pizza sales driven by partnership with Grab

Figaro Coffee Group Inc. said Monday that its fast-growing pizza chain, Angel’s Pizza, posted P1.2 billion in sales on GrabFood in the first half of 2024 on the back of over 925,000 transactions, a 63 percent increase year-on-year.

The strong first-half performance highlights the robust recovery and sustained success of Angel’s Pizza on GrabFood, the leading on-demand delivery platform post-pandemic.

Listed food firm Figaro said that as a member of GrabFood Signatures, Angel’s Pizza benefits from exclusive marketing and promotional opportunities, enhancing its visibility and transaction volume on the platform. The pizza company’s performance was particularly notable in Metro Manila, where it achieved a 53 percent increase in sales, and in provincial areas, where sales surged 151 percent year-on-year.

The mid-year business review was attended by prominent figures including Justin Liu, chairman of Figaro Coffee Group; Ace Azarraga, director for Brand and Partnership of Figaro Coffee Group; GJ Roño, Grab Philippines director for Strategy and Partnership; Yayen Portal, Grab head of Merchants; Bea Torricer, GrabFood Commercial Lead PH; and Sandy Calderon, GrabFood key account manager.
Figaro chairman Justin Liu was elated by the achievement of Angel’s Pizza.

“We are incredibly proud of the progress Angel’s Pizza has made. Achieving P1.2 billion in sales on GrabFood in the first half of 2024 is a monumental milestone. It reflects our commitment to delivering high-quality products and excellent service. Our ongoing partnership with Grab is vital, and we are excited about future growth and innovations together,” said Liu in a statement.

Ace Azarraga, director for Brand and Partnership of Figaro, said the “significant growth results” stemmed from the focus of Angel’s Pizza on innovation and customer satisfaction.

Greg Camacho, director for Deliveries and Strategy at Grab Philippines, highlighted the positive impact of collaboration.

“Angel’s Pizza’s success showcases the benefits of our partnership. We are committed to empowering businesses through innovative campaigns and technologies, such as GrabUnlimited and our ad tools, which help our merchant-partners effectively reach our active user base,” he said.
