Cebu Pacific ramping up flights out of Davao beginning October

Cebu Pacific is expanding its reach with new domestic and international routes from Davao starting October this year.

“We are excited to restore international flights and operate additional domestic routes from our hub in Mindanao,” Xander Lao, Cebu Pacific president and chief commercial officer, said.

“Through Cebu Pacific’s extensive network and value-for-money fares, more travelers from Davao will now be able to discover what the Philippines and the rest of the world has to offer,” he added.

Starting 28 October this year, the airline operates direct thrice-weekly flights between Davao and Bangkok-Don Mueang.

The airline is also launching daily flights from Davao to Caticlan and Puerto Princesa beginning 27 October while thrice-weekly flights to and from Tacloban will operate starting 29 October.

To encourage travel, CEB has an ongoing seat sale until 15 August this year allowing passengers to book flights across these additional routes for as low as P1 one-way base fare, exclusive of fees and charges. The travel period is from 21 October 2024 to 31 March 2025.

Cebu Pacific in July announced signing a binding memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Airbus for the purchase of up to 152 A321neo aircraft for $24 billion or P1.4 trillion in local currency, the largest aircraft order in local aviation history.

The airline operates one of the youngest fleets in the world with a diversified commercial fleet mix of nine Airbus 330s, 39 Airbus 320s, 22 Airbus 321s, and 15 ATR turboprop aircraft, enabling the widest network coverage in the Philippines.

Cebu Pacific projects carrying more than 24 million passengers this year, up from 15.84 million local and international passengers in 2023.

The airline flies to 35 domestic and 26 international destinations across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
