AirAsia prepares for surge in passengers during Undas

AirAsia Philippines is gearing up for a busy travel season this All Souls Day, anticipating over 75,000 passengers. The budget airline has implemented a range of measures to ensure smooth operations, including 24/7 customer service help desks at NAIA Terminal 2 and key provincial airports such as Cebu, Boracay (Caticlan), Davao, and Puerto Princesa.

To enhance guest support, more than 50 agents will be available via the Ask Bo app, addressing inquiries around the clock. “It has been AirAsia Philippines’ long tradition to provide extra support during peak celebration periods, where families often reunite in the provinces,” said Ricky Isla, AirAsia Philippines chief executive officer.

Isla emphasized the importance of honoring the departed loved ones during this time, saying, “Through our always ready programs, we aim to ensure our guests experience AirAsia’s personal touch, traveling conveniently, safely, and on time.”

Looking ahead, the airline expects a positive performance through the end of the year, bolstered by the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays. Thus far in 2024, AirAsia Philippines has flown six million guests, just shy of last year’s total of 6.6 million.

With a target of 8 million passengers for the year, the airline, recognized as the World’s Best Low-Cost Airline, continues to expand its reach, operating flights to 12 domestic and 13 international destinations as of April 2024.
