Romualdez hails Marcos’ efforts in reducing poverty numbers

Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez praised the Marcos administration for a 5-point drop in self-rated poverty, with 1.4 million families no longer considering themselves poor, according to OCTA Research’s latest survey. The survey also showed a decline in self-rated hunger from 16% to 11%. Romualdez attributed these improvements to targeted government programs focused on economic resilience and social safety nets.
