PAGASA expects Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (international name Trami) to be off the coast of Bacnotan, La Union by noon Friday and gather speed as it exits the Philippine Area of Responsibility by 2 am on Saturday, Oct. 26. Strong to storm-force winds, however, will continue to affect areas in the Western seaboard of the country since the Kristine’s rain band extend outwards up to 730 kilometers from the center. Kristine has sustained winds of 95 kilometers per hour and gusts up to 115 kph.
