Hexa Capital Consultancy PLT (“Hexa”) has appointed Globe Telecom, Inc. as the Philippine landing party for its Malaysia-U.S. (MYUS) cable system, set to launch by mid-2028. The MYUS cable will establish direct, high-capacity fiber optic connectivity between Malaysia and the U.S., enhancing digital service access across Southeast Asia.
The cable will extend from Sedili, Malaysia, to Davao, Philippines, and continue to Guam and Florence, Oregon. It will also link Batam, Jakarta, and Balikpapan in Indonesia. Globe’s Davao landing station will serve as a vital interconnection hub.
Dr. Azhari Abang Hadari, founder and CEO of Hexa, said, “The MYUS cable is designed for trusted connectivity, avoiding contested waters and ensuring efficient routing with minimal latency.” He highlighted Globe’s extensive experience and robust network as key factors in their partnership choice.
KD Dizon, head of Globe Business, expressed optimism about the collaboration, emphasizing Davao’s strategic importance as a subsea fiber optic hub. The MYUS cable will feature 16 fiber pairs and is poised to support the growing demand for reliable, high-performance connectivity among hyperscalers, telecom carriers, and government entities.
Hexa’s initiative was discussed at the recent Submarine Networks World conference in Singapore, where the company aims to foster further partnerships in the region.
