STI Education Systems Holdings Inc., the largest private school network in the country, on Wednesday said net income for its financial year that ended on 30 June saw an 84 percent surge to P1.6 billion on the back of significant improvements in student enrollment and efficient cost management.
For School Year 2023-2024, enrollment jumped 27 percent year-on-year to 119,543. New student enrollment grew by 35 percent to 55,982.
STI Education Services Group, which oversees 63 campuses nationwide, recorded a similar 27 percent enrollment increase to 103,982 students across its schools. STI West Negros University in Bacolod City excelled with a 30 percent rise in enrollment to 13,328 students after being granted Autonomous status by the Commission on Higher Education.
Meanwhile, iACADEMY maintained a solid enrollment with 2,233 students. Programs regulated by CHED saw a 25 percent growth, while primary and secondary education under the Department of Education welcomed 34,709 students, a 31 percent increase.
Gross revenues for STI Holdings rose by 38 percent to P4.7 billion, driven by higher enrollment. As a result, tuition and other fees rose 1.2 billion to a total P4.3 billion for the year.
The Group continues to invest in infrastructure, completing new buildings at STI WNU, STI Ortigas-Cainta, and STI Lipa, alongside various expansion and renovation projects. These initiatives aim to enhance the learning environment for students and faculty across the network.
