    Converge leads Fiber Network Council APAC 2024 Conference

    The Fiber Network Council APAC (FNC APAC) held its 2024 conference in the Philippines on November 5, focusing on the role of fiber technologies in accelerating emerging innovations like AI and cloud computing. Converge ICT Solutions Inc., a key partner and founding member of FNC APAC, played a pivotal role in the event, underscoring the growth of the Philippines’ fiber industry.

    Dennis Anthony H. Uy, CEO of Converge, highlighted the company’s leadership in fiber technology and its contribution to the region’s digital infrastructure. He also praised the country’s potential in hosting global technological initiatives, such as smart cities, with local expertise in industries like call centers and engineering.

    Dr. Fouad ‘Frank’ Jaffer, FNC APAC Conference chair, lauded Converge’s role as the first Filipino broadband operator member, noting the significance of fiber networks in a geographically challenging country.

    Secretary Ivan John Uy of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) spoke on the government’s efforts to expand fiber broadband coverage through the National Fiber Backbone Project, which aims to improve connectivity across the Philippines.

    Converge also highlighted its innovations in network management, integrating AI and automation to enhance its operations and digital infrastructure, including cloud and data centers. The conference featured industry experts from Nokia Bell Labs, EXFO, and major telecom players like PLDT and Globe Telecom, alongside exhibitions showcasing the latest in fiber technology.
