The Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) has approved the second round of toll hikes at the Subic Clark Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), effective Tuesday, 19 November. Class 1 vehicles face an additional P0.64 per kilometer, while Class 2 and Class 3 vehicles will see increases of P1.29 and P1.93 per kilometer, respectively.
This toll adjustment, part of periodic reviews originally due in 2021 and 2023, comes after a phased, three-year implementation plan to ease inflationary pressures on commuters.
Motorists traveling the full Mabalacat-Tarlac route will pay up to P75 more, while trips to Bataan will see increases of up to P121. Recent infrastructure projects, including road lighting, toll system upgrades, and bridge repairs, aim to improve safety and convenience along the expressway.
