Philippines shines at ITB Asia 2024 with record sales leads

The Philippines made a powerful statement at ITB Asia 2024, held from 23 to 25 October at the Sands Expo Convention Centre in Singapore. Led by the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB), the Philippine delegation of 29 exhibitors generated P721.65 million in sales leads—a 378.34 percent increase over the previous year.

This year’s Philippine pavilion showcased a diverse range of tourism offerings, from luxury resorts like Solaire Resort Entertainment City and Dusit Thani Manila to unique travel experiences from companies such as GI Philippines Corporation and Boracay Adventures Travel N Tours. Key players like Philippine Airlines and the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority highlighted the country’s appeal as both a leisure and business destination.

TPB chief operating officer Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles emphasized the significance of the event in strengthening the Philippines’ position as a world-class destination. “ITB Asia is a key platform for fostering partnerships and driving growth,” she said, noting the importance of the event in transforming interest into long-term success.

With rising global demand for Philippine tourism, this year’s successful participation signals a bright future for the country’s tourism industry, both for leisure and MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) travel.
