Local renewable energy developer ACEN Corp. has partnered with global utility software solutions firm Gentrack to modernize its technology infrastructure and streamline operations. The collaboration aims to enhance ACEN’s operational efficiency, scalability, and future-proof its business by implementing Gentrack’s cutting-edge technology stack.
The companies said the solution will be hosted on cloud technology, leveraging low-code/no-code tools to minimize customizations, reduce costs, and provide maximum flexibility. The move is expected to significantly enhance ACEN’s agility in navigating the rapidly evolving energy sector.
“We are excited to collaborate with Gentrack in this critical phase of our technological evolution,” said Tony Valdez, ACEN senior vice president and head of market transformation. “This partnership aligns with our long-term strategy, providing the scalability, flexibility, and reliability to stay ahead in the dynamic energy space.”
Geoff Childs, Gentrack general manager for Asia, said the technology is tailored to meet the unique demands of the power industry. “Our tech stack is engineered to address the complexities of the modern energy market, and we are confident it will provide ACEN with the tools to successfully navigate the ecosystem,” Childs said.
ACEN is on track to achieve the expansion of its renewable energy capacity of 20 gigawatts (GW) by 2030 as part of its commitment to providing clean, reliable, and affordable energy while reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. ACEN’s global generation portfolio stands at 6.8 GW, with 3 GW of fully operational assets across the Philippines, Australia, India, and other markets including Indonesia, Vietnam, the U.S., Taiwan, and Laos.
