Akbayan endorses impeachment complaint vs VP Sara

The party-list group Akbayan has endorsed the impeachment complaint filed against Vice President Sara Duterte by 17 complainants from various organizations. Former Senator Leila de Lima, acting as spokesperson for the complainants, stated that the articles of impeachment include allegations of “rigged bidding” for DepEd laptop computers, aiding and enabling Pastor Quibuloy, and accepting money from known drug personalities. Akbayan Rep. Perci Cendana noted the partylist is endorsing the complaint in spite of the appeal from President Marcos, saying it is the obligation of the House to act on the charges.
