Salceda: VP Sara won’t be impeached

Albay Rep. Joey Salceda doubts the impeachment complaint filed by several groups against Vice President Sara Duterte will prosper in the House of Representatives. “There will be no impeachment. We will follow the advice of the President,” said Rep. Salceda, chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. had earlier sent a text message to lawmakers, advising them against pursuing an impeachment case versus the VP as the political exercise could derail more important work such as passing the 2025 National Budget.
