The Philippine Airlines (PAL) has expanded its domestic flight network with the resumption of services between Clark International Airport (CRK) and Siargao Island Airport, enhancing travel options for residents and tourists alike. The new thrice-weekly service, operated by PAL Express, eliminates the need for long land journeys to Metro Manila, making it more convenient for those traveling to the popular island.
“We are proud to bring back this service. Our thrice-weekly flights will provide easier access for residents and tourists in Central and Northern Luzon, eliminating the need for connecting flights through Manila,” said Rabbi Vincent Ang, president of PAL Express. “This will also allow Siargao residents to explore other parts of the country more easily through Clark.”
Siargao, widely regarded as the surfing capital of the Philippines, has long been a favorite destination for both local and international travelers due to its world-class waves, pristine beaches, and serene tropical atmosphere. Known for its unique blend of natural beauty and laid-back vibe, the island attracts adventure seekers and beach lovers alike.
PAL’s new service will be operated with an 86-seater De Havilland Dash 8-400 Next Generation aircraft, offering passengers the airline’s signature Filipino hospitality. The route launches just in time for the holiday season, allowing travelers to explore new destinations and reunite with loved ones on the idyllic island.
Noel Manankil, president and CEO of LIPAD Corp, the consortium managing Clark International, highlighted the significance of the new route: “The timing of PAL’s Clark-Siargao flights is perfect as we approach the holiday season. What better way to spend the holidays than by the beach? Plus, with the recent recognition of CRK as the TDM Travel Trade International Airport of the Year, passengers can be assured of exceptional service and modern facilities.”
Siargao is now part of PAL’s growing network of destinations from Clark, which includes daily flights to Cebu, four weekly flights to Basco, and thrice-weekly flights to Boracay. This addition complements PAL’s existing twice-daily flights to Siargao from Manila and Cebu, bringing the airline’s total weekly flights to Siargao to 31.
PAL operates a comprehensive fleet of Boeing, Airbus, and De Havilland aircraft, offering scheduled flights from Manila, Cebu, Clark, and Davao to 33 domestic destinations and 36 international locations across Asia, North America, Australia, and the Middle East.
