Megaworld plans bold township launches, Boracay casino development in 2024

Megaworld Corp., the property arm of businessman Andrew Tan, is set to launch two to three new townships next year, according to executive director Kevin Andrew L. Tan. The company remains optimistic about the market, citing falling interest rates as key to boosting demand, especially in the luxury residential segment, which has remained resilient despite current economic challenges.

Tan also confirmed that the much-anticipated Boracay casino project, part of an integrated resort on the island, will break ground in 2025, with completion slated for 2026. The USD300 million development, backed by Tan’s holding firm Alliance Global Group Inc., will be operated by Travellers International Hotel Group Inc. The “boutique” casino is designed with sustainability in mind to blend harmoniously with Boracay’s unique environment.

The Boracay World Resorts project will elevate the island’s appeal, featuring an 18-hole golf course, exclusive beach access, and high-end villas. Tan said the integrated resort will offer a rare mix of luxury and local charm, setting a new standard for global tourism in Boracay.
