A. Brown Co. Inc. on Tuesday announced a P2.5 billion investment in a joint venture with the provincial government of Misamis Oriental to develop a mixed-use complex in the province’s capital. The project is set to include office spaces, commercial buildings, a dormitory, a public park, and essential infrastructure, with construction divided into four phases.
Phase one will focus on office spaces, retail areas, a park, and parking facilities, while phase two will involve the creation of a multi-level building with a dormitory. The joint venture agreement (JVA) is scheduled for signing on 23 January 2025, with further details on the project’s scope to follow.
The development is expected to drive economic growth in Misamis Oriental, attracting business, tourism, and potential residents, as A. Brown continues to expand its real estate footprint. The company raised P1.5 billion in funding last year for its various projects, including the Alexandrite Columns in Cagayan de Oro and the Coral Bay Suites in Initao, Misamis Oriental. These developments align with the company’s strategy to bolster the local economy and provide much-needed infrastructure to the region.
