Trump to declare national emergency at southern border

In his second inaugural address as the 47th president, Donald Trump announced a sweeping series of executive orders aimed at overhauling U.S. immigration and citizenship policies. Trump vowed to declare a national emergency at its border with Mexico to halt illegal immigration, pledging to begin the immediate return of “millions of criminal aliens.” He also revealed plans to declare a “national energy emergency” to ramp up oil drilling in Alaska, alongside withdrawing the U.S. from the Paris climate agreement. “We will drill, baby, drill,” said Trump, signaling a return to aggressive energy policies.
