Ayala Group to host US-PH forum in Manila

The Ayala Group will host the 2025 board meeting of the US–Philippines Society in Manila from 10 to 11 February, marking a significant private sector-led forum focused on the economic and diplomatic ties between the two nations. The event, the first since the recent U.S. electoral transition, will provide a platform for business, political, and civic leaders to discuss critical issues affecting both countries.

Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala, co-chair of the US-Philippines Society, will oversee the session, while Ambassador John D. Negroponte will lead the U.S. delegation. During the forum, the Society will welcome new members to its board, which is composed of influential figures from various sectors.

A key highlight will be the “Outlook 2025” session, which will explore global and regional trends, the U.S. diplomatic approach to the Asia/Pacific region, and the Philippine government’s priorities. Discussions will also center on the economic implications of the Trump Administration’s policies and the upcoming Philippine midterm elections.

The gathering aims to identify mutually beneficial trade and investment opportunities between the Philippines and the U.S., reinforcing the importance of strengthening bilateral ties. Founded in 2012, the US-Philippines Society has played a crucial role in enhancing the relationship between the two nations, focusing on business, governance, cultural exchange, and conflict resolution.

This forum underscores the economic significance of US-Philippines relations and sets the stage for continued collaboration as both nations look toward future opportunities for growth and partnership.
