CLARK FREEPORT ZONE — Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC) president Jojit Alcazar on Monday said that the new air traffic control (ATC) tower, expected to be operational by 2Q 2025, will significantly enhance air traffic management at Clark International Airport. The tower, built by MSV Construction and Northern Builders, will address visibility issues and improve operational efficiency, particularly as air traffic volume is set to rise.
Designed with panoramic views of the airfield, the 18-story tower will support advanced communication technology and international safety standards. The move is crucial for managing the increasing air traffic, which has reached or surpassed pre-pandemic levels globally. Alcazar emphasized that safety remains the top priority for both aircraft and passengers.
The new ATC tower will also bolster CIAC’s Seven Flagship Projects, which include large-scale infrastructure developments like a National Food Hub and a World Convention Center, contributing to the economic growth of the region. This project is a key element in strengthening Clark’s role as a critical hub in the global aviation and logistics sectors.
