DigiPlus Interactive Corp. has named Graham Tidey as the country manager for its wholly-owned subsidiary, DigiPlus Brazil Interactive Ltda., an appointment that could determine the trajectory of its maiden foray into Brazil’s rapidly growing iGaming sector.
Effective March 1, Tidey’s appointment could also have long term implications to DigiPlus’ Latin American expansion strategy. With nearly two decades of expertise in international trade, investment, and iGaming, Tidey is uniquely positioned to steer DigiPlus’ operations in Brazil, a market teeming with opportunity.
Tidey joins DigiPlus from MarketLaunch, a consultancy firm specializing in iGaming market entry. He has advised global iGaming brands such as DraftKings and Bally’s, and was also the lead consultant for the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) in Brazil, providing regulatory guidance. His extensive experience in navigating Brazil’s complex regulatory landscape, understanding local consumer behavior, and fostering industry growth makes him an invaluable asset for DigiPlus. Tidey’s career spans both the public and private sectors, having served as the British consul in Brazil, where he supported multinational companies and forged influential connections with regional and federal authorities.
DigiPlus, recognizing Brazil’s immense potential, is investing heavily in leadership, local partnerships, and responsible gaming initiatives to ensure long-term success in the market. Tidey’s appointment reflects the company’s unwavering commitment to Brazil and its goal of setting new industry standards in iGaming.
“Brazil represents one of the most significant opportunities in global iGaming,” said DigiPlus Chairman Eusebio Tanco. “Graham’s expertise in Latin America, coupled with his proven leadership and regulatory acumen, makes him the ideal choice to drive our growth in Brazil.”
Tidey, who adopted Brazilian nationality during his tenure, expressed his excitement about his new role. “I’m looking forward to building a responsible and sustainable business in Brazil, expanding market reach, and driving innovation,” he said.
