Anko expands PH presence with wew Trinoma store

Anko, Australia’s home and lifestyle retailer, is poised for significant expansion in the Philippines with the opening of its third and largest store at Ayala’s Trinoma shopping mall in Quezon City, scheduled for July. The new location, covering 1,634 square meters, will feature 1,421 square meters of retail space, with the remainder dedicated to office and stockroom use.

This expansion comes on the heels of Anko’s successful entry in the Philippines following the debut of its first store at Glorietta in Makati last November. A second store is set to open in Alabang Town Center in Muntinlupa this May. The Trinoma store is seen as a strategic next step in Anko’s efforts to tap into Metro Manila’s high-traffic retail environment.

“Opening in Trinoma is a natural next step for Anko in the Philippines. We want to be where Filipino families already shop for their homes, and Metro Manila’s top malls provide the perfect space to introduce more people to our brand,” said Arjun Puri, CEO of Anko Global. The Philippines is becoming a key market for Anko, leveraging its efficient product development process to offer quality home essentials at low prices.

Anko’s strategy focuses on controlling every aspect of its operations—from design and sourcing to production and retail—enabling the company to keep costs low while offering a wide range of well-designed, functional products that align with international trends. “This allows us to offer home essentials that make sense for our Filipino customers,” Puri explained.

The brand’s offerings include home living essentials, smart storage solutions, beauty products, nursery items, children’s toys, electronics, pet supplies, and arts and crafts, with the goal of making everyday living brighter for Filipino families.

Rachel Turner, country manager of Anko Philippines, expressed excitement about the Trinoma store’s potential, noting, “With our Trinoma store, we are very excited to bring even more shoppers home and lifestyle essentials designed to match every lifestyle.”

Since its establishment in 2017, Anko has been part of the Kmart Group under Wesfarmers Ltd., one of Australia’s leading companies, further solidifying the brand’s commitment to providing quality and affordability in global markets. The continued expansion into key shopping hubs in Metro Manila signals Anko’s confidence in the Filipino market and its ambition to establish a strong retail footprint in the region.
