Globe Telecom has teamed up with Gogolook, the global TrustTech company behind the Whoscall anti-scam app, to tackle the growing issue of online fraud in the Philippines. As online scams continue to surge, this initiative aims to equip Globe customers with essential tools to protect themselves and ensure their digital safety.
Mel Migriño, country head of Gogolook Philippines, emphasized the importance of online safety in an increasingly connected world. She said that by offering free access to Whoscall Premium Basic, Globe customers will gain access to enhanced features to bolster their digital defenses, including the Caller ID function, Web Checker, and ID Security.
Eric Tanbauco, officer-in-charge of Globe’s consumer mobile business, highlighted the partnership’s importance in providing users with an extra layer of security. “As online fraud continues to evolve, we remain committed to safeguarding our customers’ lives and ensuring they can connect safely,” he said.
This collaboration, set to roll out in a pilot program starting this April, reflects both companies’ commitment to protecting users from sophisticated online threats and supporting safer digital practices.
