Philippine Seven Corp. (PSC), the exclusive operator of 7-Eleven stores in the country, says its decades-long partnership with the Philippine Franchise Association (PFA) has played a crucial role in the company’s growth and in shaping the local franchising landscape.
“Our partnership with PFA has been instrumental in establishing standards of excellence in the franchise industry,” said PSC president and CEO Jose Victor P. Paterno. He noted that their joint efforts, especially through national and regional expos, have helped professionalize franchising while creating new business opportunities for Filipinos.
A founding member of PFA, PSC adheres to the association’s Fair Franchising Standards, promoting ethical and transparent business practices. Today, over half of 7-Eleven’s 4,000+ stores nationwide are franchise-owned.
Paterno credited the strength of PSC’s franchise model and the success of its franchisees—many of whom have expanded from single outlets to multi-store operations—for driving the company’s expansion.
The collaboration has also brought industry recognition, with PSC earning multiple awards including the Franchise Excellence Award and a recent win in the Sustainability Category in 2024.
Established in 1993, the PSC-PFA partnership continues to fuel innovation and expansion in the Philippine convenience retail sector, with a focus on digital integration, 24/7 service, and customer-centric product offerings.
