    DICT appoints Faye Condez-de Sagon as undersecretary and chief of staff

    The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) has named Christina Faye M. Condez-de Sagon as undersecretary and concurrent chief of staff to Secretary Henry R. Aguda, a strategic appointment seen to reinforce the agency’s digital transformation agenda.

    A veteran in legal and public policy, Condez-de Sagon brings a track record of leading critical ICT reforms and infrastructure initiatives, with prior roles at the Governance Commission for GOCCs, the Philippine Competition Commission, and both houses of Congress. She most recently served as assistant vice president for external affairs at Aboitiz InfraCapital and contributed to policy development through the Private Sector Advisory Council – Digital Infrastructure Secretariat.

    DICT secretary Aguda emphasized the importance of her leadership in delivering on the department’s digital-first and cybersecurity goals. “Her leadership will be crucial in our efforts to drive a digital-first economy, enhanced cybersecurity, inclusive tech for all, and transparent governance,” Aguda said.

    Condez-de Sagon, an alumna of the University of the Philippines and the National Defense College of the Philippines, expressed her commitment to supporting the DICT’s mission of creating a secure, inclusive, and future-ready digital ecosystem.
