Insurer tackles road risks with affordable insurance

Againsts a background of a 34 percent surge in holiday road traffic incidents, tech-based insurance platform Policymate is intensifying efforts to provide accessible vehicle insurance solutions to Filipino motorists.

Policymate—developed by Advanced Abilities—is now offering both compulsory third party liability (CTPL) and comprehensive motor car (CMC) insurance policies underwritten by Fortune General Insurance Corp.

CTPL coverage, required by the Land Transportation Office (LTO), provides up to P100,000 in benefits for third-party injury or death and is mandatory for vehicle registration. Meanwhile, CMC insurance offers broader protection against damage, theft, natural disasters, and includes up to P5,000 for roadside assistance per incident.

“While we continue to support the government’s efforts to keep our roads safe, it is also our responsibility as motorists to drive safely and secure protection,” said Angelo Antonio Buendia, CEO and president of Advanced Abilities. “By offering CTPL and CMC policies through Policymate, we’re making these essential protections more accessible to every Filipino.”
