    Mitsubishi Motors PH expands internship program for future workforce

    Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp.iPC) has welcomed 187 college students from 32 educational institutions into its dynamic internship program, reinforcing its mission to support nation-building through technical education and workforce development.

    The internship, now in its third year since launching in 2022, immerses students in practical, real-world roles across MMPC’s key departments including Engineering, IT, Sales, and Human Resources. Interns are matched with roles that align with their academic backgrounds, such as Psychology, Accountancy, Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, and Business Administration.

    MMPC president Ritsu Imaeda said that corporate responsibility includes “investing in people, skills, and potential,” describing the initiative as a vital bridge between academia and industry. “This synergy is key to driving innovation, employment, and sustainable growth,” he noted.

    MMPC vice president for human resources Marcelo Cenir highlighted the program’s mentorship element, stressing the impact of employee-guided learning on students’ professionalism and values. “Our employees go beyond instruction—they cultivate a culture of excellence and discipline,” said Cenir.

    Notably, several former interns have since joined MMPC as full-time employees, reflecting the effectiveness of the program in shaping future-ready professionals.

    This initiative underscores MMPC’s broader commitment to developing a globally competitive Filipino workforce, rooted in technical excellence and industry relevance.
