Irradiation Solutions Inc. (ISI), a subsidiary of publicly listed A Brown Co., has acquired a 35 percent stake in Accudata Analytical Labs Corp. for ₱12.5 million, aiming to strengthen its presence in microbiological testing and integrated safety services across key industries.
The investment marks a strategic expansion for ISI E-Beam, ISI’s electron beam sterilization unit, as it positions to offer a comprehensive suite of diagnostics and sterilization services to clients in the food, pharmaceutical, and medical sectors. The company said the collaboration will streamline product safety processes, enhance regulatory compliance, and improve turnaround times.
“This partnership reinforces our commitment to delivering integrated, science-based solutions to industries where healthcare and food safety are critical,” said Paul Juat, president of ISI E-Beam.
Accudata, based in Calamba, Laguna, is known for its rapid pathogen detection services and regulatory compliance support, including the fastest turnaround diagnostics for African swine fever using RT-PCR and ELISA. It plans to expand into sterility, bioburden, and antimicrobial resistance testing for a broader range of products.
Founded by Philippine Science High School alumni including former NEDA Secretary Cielito Habito and Will Tan, Accudata emphasizes science-driven public service. Its president Robert William Tan said the partnership with ISI E-Beam continues that mission across generations.
The equity infusion will fund infrastructure and equipment upgrades, enabling both companies to deliver high-integrity testing and sterilization under one roof—a commercial advantage expected to appeal to regulatory-conscious manufacturers and exporters.
This acquisition underscores the growing corporate trend toward integrated quality assurance platforms, particularly in sectors where speed, safety, and compliance are crucial market differentiators.
