New 2GO partnership sets sail for hands-on maritime training

Logistics and sea travel giant 2GO has partnered with leading overseas job portal WorkAbroad.ph to roll out the Enrollment to Employment (E2E) Program, an industry-first initiative designed to bridge classroom learning with global career readiness in the maritime and logistics sectors.

The collaboration reflects a strategic shift in corporate and commercial policy, emphasizing immersive workforce development over conventional internships. “This program gives students something they can’t get in a classroom or a short internship: total immersion in live maritime operations,” said Francis Chua, business unit head of 2GO Travel.

Unlike traditional models, the E2E Program places students directly into 2GO’s operational environments—aboard vessels and within terminal logistics—assigning them real responsibilities under the mentorship of seasoned professionals. Participants also benefit from soft-skills coaching, resume development, and tailored job readiness training aligned with international employment standards.

“What makes this different is simple—it leads to a career,” said Angelo Jayno, business unit head of WorkAbroad.ph, underscoring the program’s commitment to producing globally competitive Filipino talent. WorkAbroad.ph, which partners exclusively with DMW-licensed agencies, ensures that job placements are ethical and compliant.

The E2E Program forms a key pillar of 2GO’s long-term talent development strategy, aiming to future-proof the Philippines’ maritime workforce by aligning academic training with the demands of a globalized logistics and hospitality industry.
