In a significant show of stakeholder engagement, members of the Philippine Government Employees Association (PGEA) directly interacted with the leadership of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) during the 2025 Annual Members’ Conference held at the GSIS head office.
The forum gave government employees the opportunity to raise concerns and offer feedback aimed at refining GSIS programs. “Listening to our members and pensioners guides us in making real improvements,” said GSIS President and general manager Wick Veloso, underscoring how member input drives the relevance and responsiveness of the agency’s services.
PGEA members inquired about access to MPL Max loans, housing options under the Lease with Option to Buy program, and potential enhancements to health coverage beyond the current P7,000 limit. In response, GSIS confirmed ongoing efforts to partner directly with HMO providers and highlighted loan products like MPL Flex and MPL Lite that offer supplemental healthcare financing.

Concerns about digital accessibility were also raised, prompting GSIS to assure members of continued manual processing options. The agency encouraged visits to any GSIS Digital Service Center for in-person assistance and shared a QR code for easier access to program details.
The event also celebrated the inaugural batch of the GSIS-PGEA Speakers’ Bureau, a joint initiative to promote accurate information about GSIS services. Twenty-seven trained member-ambassadors from Luzon and Mindanao were recognized.
This engagement forms part of the broader collaboration initiated under the 2024 memorandum of understanding between GSIS and PGEA. PGEA President Esperanza Ocampo lauded the pension fund’s openness and highlighted the partnership’s alignment with GSIS’s 88th anniversary theme: “Basta Sama Sama, Tuloy Tuloy ang Ginhawa.”
