The Ayala Group, through AC Mobility and property arm Ayala Land Inc., is undertaking an ambitious nationwide expansion of the electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, targeting 700 stations by the end of 2025, up from just 90 today. The move, announced Tuesday, marks a bold push into clean energy infrastructure with clear commercial and corporate significance.
To hit the year-end target, the group will need to deploy approximately three charging stations per day. A hundred of these will be located in Makati City alone, underscoring the city’s role as the centerpiece of Ayala’s EV strategy. The company highlighted that Makati is now home to 70 charge points across 16 strategic locations, making it the country’s most extensive EV charging hub and the first to feature 15-minute super-fast chargers.
The latest installation was unveiled at Corinthian Plaza in Legazpi Village. Upcoming Makati locations include Circuit Makati, Makati Sports Club, and Paseo de Magallanes Commercial Center.
“This initiative aligns with the city’s broader vision of a future-ready city,” Ayala Land said in a statement, emphasizing the integration of charging infrastructure within prime commercial, retail, and residential areas.
Christopher B. Maglanoc, Ayala Land Estates group head, noted that the long-term vision includes installing EV charging points across all Ayala Land estates nationwide. “We will roll out as many (estates) as possible,” he said.
The aggressive rollout signals Ayala’s bet on the future of electric mobility, positioning the conglomerate at the forefront of the Philippines’ transition to sustainable urban infrastructure.
