Aboitiz Foods donates meat products in Tarlac

In line with its continued efforts to promote nutrition and community development, Aboitiz Foods, through its subsidiary Pilmico Animal Nutrition Corporation (Pilmico), donated over P1 million worth of meat products to several key partners and beneficiaries across the province of Tarlac.

The donated products include Christmas ham, brick ham, and jamon de bola from its meats retail brand, “The Good Meat.”

Guided by its purpose of “Sustainably Feeding Asia’s Growth from Mill to Meal,” Aboitiz Foods partnered with like-minded organizations whose missions reflect a shared commitment to improving lives through proper nutrition and building resilient communities.

These organizations include Rise and Rebuild International Foundation, the Philippine Army, the Philippine Air Force, and the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Offices (MSWDO) of Bamban and Capas, Tarlac.

A key recipient of Aboitiz Foods’ recent donation drive is the Rise and Rebuild International Foundation, whose programs focus on addressing child malnutrition. Aboitiz Foods supported barangay-based feeding programs by donating over 1,500 pieces of ham products, providing a vital source of protein for children’s meals.

This partnership also paved the way for a broader collaboration between the two organizations through Aboitiz Foods’ annual “Kutitap Feeding Program.” By working together, both organizations help deliver more holistic solutions for children in need.

Over the years, Aboitiz Foods has worked closely with the Philippine Army and the Philippine Air Force, particularly during community partnerships and disaster relief efforts. As a gesture of gratitude for their unwavering support and service, Aboitiz Foods recently donated 1,500 pieces of The Good Meat ham products to its members.

This initiative not only serves as a token of appreciation but also aims to provide nourishment and promote the well-being of those who tirelessly serve the nation.

Aboitiz Foods has also fostered strong and meaningful partnerships with local government units, particularly the MSWDO in Capas and Bamban, Tarlac.

In Bamban, donated products will benefit daycare students, helping to support a critical stage of early childhood development.

In Capas, the donation supports the community of Aeta students residing in dormitories. While these students receive necessary housing and basic food supplies, access to nutritionally-balanced and protein-rich foods remains limited. This gap can significantly impact both their physical health and academic performance. Through this initiative, Aboitiz Foods aims to help bridge the gap and contribute to the students’ overall well-being as they pursue their education.

“At Aboitiz Foods, we believe that food carries the power to uplift lives and bring communities together,” said Pamela Lynne Liwag, Aboitiz Foods Assistant Vice President for Brand & Reputation. “With The Good Meat, this initiative is our way of giving back to Tarlac. We hope to extend not just nourishment, but also appreciation to the communities and the dedicated partners who help us serve them.”

Tarlac has been an integral region for Pilmico, having been the home of its animal feeds manufacturing and swine and layer farms for over 20 years. This long-standing presence highlights the company’s deep-rooted commitment to its people and its communities.

Through this donation drive, Aboitiz Foods is proud to partner with organizations that are strongly connected to their communities and dedicated to making a meaningful difference. Whether it’s feeding a child, fueling students’ dreams, or supporting those who serve the country, every act of giving reflects a shared mission—to uplift lives and nourish communities.
