Globe sees strong 1Q growth as digital shift accelerates

Globe Telecom is deepening its commitment to customer-centric growth under president and CEO Carl Cruz, who emphasizes building the company around people, not just products. This human-first approach is translating into tangible gains across the board. In 1Q 2025, data services made up 87 percent of Globe’s total service revenue, up from 85 percent the year prior, reflecting the country’s fast shift to a digital-first lifestyle.

The company’s mobile subscriber base rose to 61.6 million by March 2025, a 5 percent year-on-year increase, while broadband subscribers reached 1.83 million, up from 1.72 million. A key commercial highlight is the success of GFiber Prepaid (GFP), Globe’s affordable fiber service. With a 53 percent quarter-on-quarter growth and a market-leading 70 percent reload rate, GFP is rapidly penetrating low-income households. It also achieved an impressive Net Promoter Score of 67 in April, signaling high customer trust and satisfaction.

Cruz underscored Globe’s broader mission: “We’re building solutions that reflect real needs,” pointing to use cases like enabling online learning and digital payments for small businesses. As Globe scales its innovations, its empathetic, inclusive strategy is proving to be both commercially impactful and socially significant.
