The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), through its social development arm BPI Foundation (BPIF), has launched a financial literacy training session in Bacolod City under its FinEd Unboxed program. The session, held at St. Joseph High School, benefited 721 students by equipping them with essential skills in budgeting, saving, and investing.
BPIF executive director Carmina Marquez highlighted the program’s dual focus on educating students and empowering them as future financial literacy advocates within their communities. St. Joseph High School will extend the program’s reach to eight partner communities, amplifying its impact.
This initiative marks the beginning of BPIF’s broader plan to expand financial education efforts across Negros Occidental, aligned with the Foundation’s mission of inclusive growth—“Kasama Lahat sa Pag-Unlad.” By fostering responsible financial habits, BPIF aims to support sustainable community development and promote financial inclusion nationwide.
