Volunteers from Lopez-led First Philippine Industrial Park (FPIP) joined the annual Brigada Eskwela pre-school opening activities of the Department of Education (DepEd) in Tanauan, Batangas, to show their support for the city hosting the world-class industrial park.
The employees worked with other volunteers to spruce up the Tanauan South Central School on June 9 — a week before the reopening of classes on June 16.
The volunteers included employees of FPIP locators, such as Shimano (Philippines, Inc., Microtel Inns & Suites, Yamaichi Seiko Philippines, Inc., Ibiden Philippines, Inc., NBC (Philippines) Car Technology Corp., Nippon Micrometal Corp. Philippines, Hitachi Astemo Philippines Corp., and Chiyoda Integre (Philippines) Corp.
They likewise helped DepEd and city officials in checking the school premises to make sure it is not only conducive to learning but safe as well. Tanauan City Mayor Nelson “Sonny” P. Collantes (fourth from left) joined the activities at the Tanauan South Central School to kick off the local government’s free distribution to public schools of school bags and supplies.
