Cebu Pacific expands pilot training with New A330neo simulator in Clark

Cebu Pacific has announced an expansion of its partnership with CAE, baring plans to install a new Airbus A330neo full-flight simulator (FFS) at their joint aviation training center in Clark by December 2026. The move aims to strengthen pilot training capabilities amid the airline’s growing widebody fleet and expanding network.

The simulator will complement existing Airbus A320 and ATR 72-600 training devices already in operation at the Clark facility. As the largest operator of the A330neo in Asia, Cebu Pacific expects the additional training capacity to enhance operational safety and efficiency for both pilots and passengers.

“This new simulator will provide additional training capacity and heighten the safe operation of this state-of-the-art aircraft,” said Javier Massot, Cebu Pacific COO. “It supports our commitment to scaling our network and fleet with well-trained aviation professionals.”

Michel Azar-Hmouda, division president for commercial aviation at CAE, noted that the simulator’s deployment reinforces both companies’ dedication to world-class pilot training. “We are proud to deepen our partnership with Cebu Pacific and further establish Clark as a premier aviation training hub in the Asia-Pacific region,” he added.

Since launching their joint training center in 2011, Cebu Pacific and CAE have collaborated to advance aviation skills across the region using advanced simulation technology. Cebu Pacific currently operates a fleet of 98 aircraft, including 11 A330neos, with more on order, serving 63 domestic and international destinations.
