The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) has unveiled a new digital platform, the “PAGCOR Guarantee” website, aimed at helping the public verify the legitimacy of online gaming providers amid a rising number of fraudulent operators.
The initiative marks a significant step in PAGCOR’s push for safer and more transparent digital gaming. The platform provides a regularly updated list of licensed internet gaming sites under PAGCOR’s regulatory supervision. It also allows users to directly access verified platforms, offering a streamlined experience for players seeking secure online gaming options.
“This new website will help our players easily identify and verify whether the online gaming sites are duly licensed before playing or making any payments,” said PAGCOR chairman and chief executive officer Alejandro H. Tengco.
By giving players a reliable reference point, PAGCOR hopes to curb illegal operations that threaten player safety and diminish public trust. “Illegal online gaming sites not only endanger players but also erode public trust and deprive the government of vital revenues,” Tengco added.
The platform also responds to increasing reports of players being defrauded by unlicensed sites, particularly complaints over unpaid winnings and hidden charges.
“The PAGCOR Guarantee is a key component of our regulatory framework to protect both the industry and the Filipino people,” Tengco said, emphasizing the agency’s commitment to responsible gaming.
